Foodstuffs applied a resource consent to extend the car park and upgrade the New World Supermarket on Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North. The application was regarded as a non-complying activity. The consent was granted in March 2009.
Hudson Associates was engaged to prepare a landscape report as part of the AEE for the application, and the detailed landscape design for the new car park as required in consent conditions. The report addresses the issues concerning commercial-residential interface in terms of amenity and character.
