Client: Wellington City Council

Meridian Energy Ltd (Meridian) has lodged a resource consent application for their proposed Mill Creek Wind Farm located on Wellington ’s west coast, north of Makara. It comprises 31 turbines, each with a total height of 111m to the tip of the blade.

Hudson Associates were engaged to assess the landscape and visual amenity effects of the proposed wind farm. These are considered in terms of natural character of the coastal environment, outstanding landscapes, and visual amenity.
