Landscape Concept, Design Detail & Documentation, Project Supervision

Client: Marlborough Ridge Resort Ltd.

A long ridge rising above the rows of vines on the Wairau Plains, the development included proposals for a hotel and resort, apartments, 200 lot residential subdivision, vineyard, community facilities, lake and village green.

Hudson Associates were responsible for the site development design, working closely with engineers, planners and surveyors in a team environment. Hudson Associates undertook the detailed landscape design and oversaw the contract administration phases of the landscape implementation.

Prior to design development, Hudson Associates were involved in the planning process, presenting landscape evidence to the Environment Court that successfully overturned a Council decision declining a private plan change request to allow the development to occur.
